My 10 Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products

10 Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products

I love to try new beauty products (seriously, I’m frequently asking friends/family what they are using and loving!), but I always find myself repurchasing these ten drugstore beauty products. Besides the body wash, which is a new pick, I have been using all of these products for years and truly love them. It also makes it convenient that you can find all of these products in the drugstore – no special shopping trip necessary! I’m all in favor of splurging on beauty products. However, I have found that I prefer certain drugstore products to high-end options, and these are all included in that list. The next time you are in the drugstore and find yourself in the beauty department, I highly recommend giving these products a try.

10 Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products:

one | this is my favorite hairbrush of all time! If you are in the market for a new brush, you need to try this one out. When I was younger, I used to dread brushing my hair as I always had terrible knots. I have probably tried most detangler products on the market, with very minimal success, but this one works wonders. It is meant to be used directly on your wet hair (no detangler sprays needed), and easily brushes out all tangles, pain free!

two | I don’t know about you, but I am very particular about my eyelashes. And as luck would have it, I have stick-straight eyelashes that are hard to curl. After much trial and error, I have found the perfect combo to be this Shu Uemura eyelash curler and two coats of this mascara. Many mascaras (including some high-end cult favorites) weigh down my lashes, but this one does not. I prefer the waterproof formula which keeps my lashes curled all day with minimal smudges and easily comes off with makeup remover.

three | I have been using this eyeliner since high school and cannot recommend it enough. It is easy to apply and stays put all day (even overnight, although I didn’t tell you that *shh*!). I personally find pencil applicators easier to apply than liquid. If you are struggling to apply eyeliner, give this one a try.

four | eye makeup removers are a necessity for me given that I apply eye makeup almost every day. I have tried many eye makeup removers over the years, but I always come back to this one. My friends also love this product as it easily removes eye makeup (including waterproof) without irritating the eyes and leaves behind minimal residue.

five | this lash + brow duo brush by e.l.f. is only $1 – major steal! I brush it through my lashes after applying mascara to separate my lashes and remove any clumps. It’s a necessity in my makeup bag!

six | I recently found this Love Beauty and Planet body wash in Target and am loving it. I am a big fan of anything lavender-scented, and I also appreciate that it seems to be more of a natural product.

seven | if I could only use one product for the rest of my life, it would be this one. I cannot stand the feeling of dry lips (I need moisture!) and most chapsticks don’t do it for me. Aquaphor is the perfect moisturizer for dry, chapped lips – I always have a tube on hand. I also love the small size for travel and the SPF version for during the day.

eight | grapeseed oil is a great natural makeup remover. Simply apply a small amount to a cotton pad and swipe it over your skin to remove makeup (I personally don’t use it on my eyes). Follow up with your favorite cleanser to completely clean your skin.

nine | this is a great, basic moisturizer suited for sensitive skin. I struggle with finding moisturizers that suit my skin as many cause breakouts or aggravate my rosacea. I have been using this one for years and it has continuously worked well for me. It has a very light feel but keeps my skin nicely moisturized.

ten | this is the only razor I use! It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and hairless, with minimal razor burn. I also find that the razor blades last for quite a while, which is a plus.

P.S. I am trying to be more conscious of what I put in and on my body, so I will be making an effort to incorporate more natural and organic products into my regimen. If you have any recommendations (esp. those that can be found at the drugstore), send them my way!
