Happy Valentine’s Day! To be honest, I have never been a huge fan of this holiday… But that doesn’t mean that I don’t still like to dress up in pink-colored tones and celebrate with a glass of rosé and some chocolate! Whether you’re single or in a relationship, I hope you enjoy your day and do something that makes you happy! And I hope you’re wearing something that makes you feel confident! This is currently that outfit for me.
I’m definitely a jeans and a t-shirt kind of girl, and I feel my best when I’m wearing something comfortable. This outfit fits the bill! I was recently doing some online shopping at American Eagle and purchased quite a few things, including this sweater and these jeans. I have been a huge fan of American Eagle since middle school – I love that their clothes are always of great quality, are super flattering, and come at a reasonable price. They also frequently have sales, which I’m a sucker for.
Stripes seem to be very popular this season and I’m a fan, especially of this striped pullover sweater! I love the color (also comes in an olive/tan version) and it’s very comfy. Keep in mind that it is cropped, so I would recommend sizing up if you want it to be longer. I stuck with my usual XS and paired it with these new high-waisted jeans. I personally love the button detailing on these jeans – I think it gives a fun, somewhat retro vibe to the style. They also come up to the belly button (at least on me), so they’re perfect to wear with cropped sweaters and tops. American Eagle jeans have been my long time favorites – they are really flattering, comfortable, and don’t stretch out too much. I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven’t yet!
And to finish the outfit off, I threw on a pair of these Target sneakers to complete the casual vibe. These sneakers are only $17 and I actually prefer them to Vans! Vans were my go-to’s for years and years, but I always had a horrible time breaking them in. There was no break in period needed with these sneakers, and you can’t beat the price! I own them in all three colors – black, white, and grey.
