Christmas in the Park

trench coat | turtleneck | scarf (available in black) | jeans

I have such fond memories from Christmas in the Park in Downtown San Jose. My family and I used to go to every year when I was younger, usually with my grandparents – it was a tradition! I would always look forward to it and would get so excited to see the Christmas trees, lights, displays, and, of course, Santa! We haven’t been in many years, but we decided to go this past weekend. I was excited to see if it still had the same magic it did when I was a child.

It was a bit chilly on this night, so I opted to wear my favorite turtleneck from Macy’s that I got last year (not available in this color) and this London Fog trench coat that doubles as a raincoat. I paired it with a colorblock scarf from H&M (still available in black) and these jeggings from Hollister (also featured in this post).

If you’re planning on going to Christmas in the Park, be prepared for crowds – it was a lot more crowded than I remember! To be fair, we went on a Saturday evening (probably the most popular time to go!). I do want to go back next year, but I would try to go on a weekday when it is likely less busy. We still had fun and it was nice to see many of the same displays that I remember.

After our visit, we decided to pop by the Fairmont for a drink and to check out their Christmas decorations. It also reminded us that we still need to visit the Fairmont in SF to check out their giant gingerbread house! I’ve heard it’s worth a visit.

Wishing you all a happy holidays! xo
