A Fall Day in Half Moon Bay

Sweater (similar) | jeans | booties (similar)

Does anything really scream fall more than pumpkin patches? Earlier this month, we went to Half Moon Bay to check out the pumpkin patches. They are well-known for their many pumpkin patches and the large pumpkin festival they throw every year. This was our first time experiencing fall in Half Moon Bay and it didn’t disappoint!

Dressing for the occasion, I wore some of my favorite fall pieces! I picked up this Leith turtleneck sweater during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I think it’s so cute for fall! I love the color block detail and the neutral color. Unfortunately, I don’t see this sweater on the Nordstrom site, so it must be sold out. This sweater from Banana Republic looks really similar and comes in petite sizes! For another color block option, I think this burgundy sweater from Vero Moda looks cute. I’ve also been obsessed with this beige cowl neck sweater from Chelsea28 (I shared it in a recent IG post)!

I also wore my favorite pair of high waisted dark wash jeans, which you’ve seen many times before! They go with everything and are so comfortable! Another one of my favorite pieces for fall are burgundy booties! They’re so fun and pair well with many different outfits – I think they look great with most neutral looks. I love that they add a fun pop of color to simple outfits! The ones I’m wearing are old from Old Navy, but here are two similar styles from DSW and Blondo.

There are many different pumpkin patches to choose from in Half Moon Bay. We ended up going to Farmer John’s as they are dog friendly, which was a necessity as we had our dog, Coco, with us! Farmer John’s is a really cute pumpkin patch that features a teepee and a fun hay bale pyramid you can climb. They also have a nice assortment of pumpkins in various colors and sizes – we bought a bunch for our front door!

Note: the only downside is that Farmer John’s doesn’t have set prices for their pumpkins. The owner will take a look at your wagon and give you a price based on the variety of pumpkins you have chosen. He gave us a high starting price, which we were not willing to pay, and we bargained it down by $20. If you want to come here and buy some pumpkins, be prepared to negotiate!

After our visit to the pumpkin patch, we grabbed some sandwiches at the Garden Deli Cafe. The sandwiches were good (and large!) and they have a nice outdoor patio area. We also love Sam’s Chowder House and had originally planned to go here, but it was closed for an event.

Half Moon Bay is a perfect place to spend a fall day! There are no shortage of pumpkin patches, so you should be sure to find one that you like!
