A Winter White Look

Although I’ve been craving warmer weather lately, it feels like we’re still in the heart of winter here in San Francisco. Which makes sense as it’s only the beginning of February! While I may be dreaming of warmer spring days, one of my favorite looks to wear in the winter is winter white! Although some may shy away from wearing white in winter as it’s deemed a “summer” color, I think white can easily be worn year-round! Here’s how I would style a classic winter white look.

The staples of this winter white look are a great neutral-toned sweater (like white or cream) and a pair of white jeans. These two pieces are closet staples for me – they go with so many different outfits! They’re also great pieces to wear as you transition into spring weather. You might remember both of these wardrobe staples from the look I wore with my favorite Banana Republic camel coat. And for another example of how to style white jeans, you can check out this post.

I love pairing neutral tones together, like white and beige, as it always looks effortlessly chic and put together! To tie this winter white look together, I added a beige blanket scarf from Banana Republic (sold out in this color, this one is similar). I love adding scarves to outfits to add interest to a simple look! As it was cold on this day, I also added a cute white pompom beanie to the outfit (similar). Lastly, I finished out the outfit with these beige over-the-knee boots from Marc Fisher. They’ve been one of my favorite purchases this year! I love the color and they’re really comfortable. This outfit would also look really cute paired with a white sweater dress, especially on slightly warmer days.

What are your thoughts on wearing white in winter?
