Following up on last week’s post of my birthday outfit in Napa, I want to share what I wore the next day for a full day of wine tasting. I love this outfit and have worn it many times since. I think it looks pulled together but also has a casual vibe.
This tank top from J. Crew Factory is my new favorite – I now own every color! It is so versatile and I love the scalloped detailing, which adds a feminine touch to the otherwise basic tank. I have mostly been wearing it tucked into jeans with a cardigan or a jacket (such as this new faux suede fave from Nordstrom!). It would also look great paired with a blazer and trousers for a more professional wear to work look.
I spotted this cardigan at Old Navy before our trip and knew it would look beautiful in Napa, especially against the fall leaves. The camel color is perfect for this time of year and is very flattering. It’s no longer available in this color, but these options (here, here, and here) from Nordstrom are similar. I paired it with my well-worn jeggings from Abercrombie and these sandals from DSW that I adore. To be honest, while I loved how the heeled sandals looked with the outfit, they weren’t the most practical shoe choice for wandering around the wineries. I ended up switching into some flat sandals after our second winery visit. If the weather had been cooler, I would have opted for a pair of booties instead.
I hope you like this outfit as much as I do! FYI, keep an eye out for my Napa recap coming next week! Excited to share all of the details of our trip. Hopefully it will be useful if you are planning your own Napa Valley weekend getaway!
