Plaid Cape Scarf in Pebble Beach

Plaid cape scarf

Lately, I’ve found myself really getting into the cape trend. I love that you can throw it on top of a basic outfit to instantly look more chic! They are also very practical as they add an extra layer of warmth. When I was packing for our Pebble Beach trip last month, this cape was one of the first pieces I put in my bag. I knew it would be fun to throw on for a walk on the beach one morning. Here is how I wore a plaid cape scarf in Pebble Beach.

This beige plaid cape scarf is from J. Crew Factory and is currently 60% off with code BIGSALE, making it only $18! As a note, it is final sale. If you’re interested, I would purchase quickly as it will likely be unavailable soon as they start to transition into spring clothing. I think it looks great paired with a simple outfit, such as my turtleneck and blue jeans. I’ve also worn it with a pair of black jeans and some thigh high boots. For another cape scarf outfit, see this post.

If you’re in the Carmel and Monterey area, I would recommend visiting Asilomar State Beach. It’s a long stretch of beach that starts right off of the Inn at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, and is a lovely place to go for a morning walk. We had great weather on this particular morning – sunny with a slight breeze; a welcome change from the gusts we had been experiencing the past few days! We had fun strolling along the path and watching all of the families and dogs playing on the beach. As you walk, keep an eye out for dolphins and whales – we usually see them at this beach in the morning!
