Burgundy Grandpa Cardigan

Cardigans are a main staple in my closet. I wear them to work, around town, and even on nights out with friends. I pretty much always have one with me as they’re easy to throw on top of an outfit when it gets cold. They’re also great in that they can be a statement piece for an outfit. Much like how you can add jewelry to jazz up your look, cardigans can also tie together an outfit. This particular outfit is one I have been wearing a lot lately (esp. to work!), and it is all about this burgundy grandpa cardigan.

I spotted this Leith cardigan online at Nordstrom and knew I needed it in my wardrobe. The fit is a bit oversized (as the grandpa name would suggest), but I find it to be subtle. I also sized down to an XXS so it would be more fitted. If you do prefer your clothes to be more oversized, then I would suggest ordering your normal size. This cardigan is a bit pricey, but the quality is very good and I know I will be getting a lot of wear out of it. It also comes in pink, navy, and black.

I paired the cardigan with a basic white tank top, which is no longer available. Here is a v-neck option from J. Crew, and I also love this scallop tank (also seen here). My high-waisted Levi’s skinny jeans are mostly out of stock, but the 720 high rise style also looks really nice. My booties are from Charlotte Russe and have been featured several times before on the blog (most recently in this post from Pebble Beach). Can you tell I’m not afraid to be an outfit repeater? Haha

What do you guys think of the grandpa cardigan trend? I hope you have a great weekend! I have nothing on the agenda, so it will be nice to relax and do some planning for upcoming trips.
